How to Reach
The Mashi Bari and Ratha Yatra take place inside the Sukhobristi housing complex in Action Area III, New Town, Kolkata. Here is everything you need to find us.
Getting Here
By Car
Take Major Arterial Road (MAR) through New Town. From EM Bypass, drive via Chinar Park → AA-II → AA-III. Sukhobristi is well signposted.
By Metro
Nearest stations on the Orange Line are City Centre II and Titumir. Take an app cab or auto for the final 4–6 km to Sukhobristi.
By Bus / Auto
Buses bound for Newtown AA-III and shared autos from Chinar Park, Baguiati and DLF-II drop right outside the complex gates.
Parking
- • Designated visitor parking inside Sukhobristi (limited; arrive early on Ratha day).
- • Overflow parking along the service lane outside the main gate — follow RNJS volunteer guides.
- • On Ratha Yatra day (16 July), the chariot route is closed to vehicles from 3 PM. Plan to arrive by 2:30 PM.
- • Two-wheelers and bicycles welcome at the side gate.
Helpful Tips
- • Wear comfortable footwear that is easy to remove before entering the pandal.
- • Carry a water bottle — it gets warm during midday Darshan.
- • Wheelchair access is available at the main pandal entrance; ask any volunteer.
- • Photography is welcome, but please do not use flash inside the sanctum.
